Pod ME

Pod ME (Periodic Morphing Engine) is an interactive program that plots fractal images from formulas based on Thomas Kromer's loxodromic functions. These functions give an "organic" look to quaternions that resembles natural structures like coral and seashells.

Features of Pod ME:

  • Getting Started Tutorial 13 Built-in Loxodromic formulas with user-defined variables 3D quad exports:
    • Wavefront format[OBJ]
    • Virtual reality [WRL]
    • Triangle object [POV]
    • AutoCad [DXF]
  • Palette-based and generalized (32-bit) coloring methods External rendering libraries [RLL] for elaborate surface texturingPerlin noise generator for realistic texturesAdjustable lighting model with Phong highlights Random image generators and random rendering option Batch mode for unattended image creationIntegrated video routines allow easy morphing and rotating between key frames
AVI object options for exporting single frames as 3D object files
Pilot for easy panning, zooming and rotatingSeparate user-defined folders for file types like palettes, textures, objects and drawings
